Thursday 3rd, Friday 4th & Saturday 5th April
A rite of passage drama about broken promises, squandered opportunities, innocence versus experience: the love-hate continuum that exists between a father and daughter – where the Past-Present-Future exist in the same time and place.
Teenage Rayla single-handedly props up her emotionally abusive, addicted, highly intelligent father. On one life-changing day, her world undergoes a seismic shift under the influence of an unexpected apparition – her older self, Ray – where the father and daughter(s) fight for control of his inability to change.
What follows is a charged, brutally honest battle of wits about Hope vs Despair – where the child becomes an adult, and the adult a child.

Following their sold-out performance of ‘Sinderella’ in Summer 2023, Take-A-Bow North West are returning to Salford Arts with the Wardrobe Ensemble’s Education, Education, Education.
“It's May 1997. Tony Blair has won the election and Katrina and the Waves have won Eurovision. Channel 5 is a month old. No one knows who Harry Potter is. Britain is the coolest place in the world.
At the local secondary school it's a different story. Miss Belltop-Doyle can't control her Year 10s, Mr Pashley has been put in charge of a confiscated Tamagotchi, and Miss Turner is hoping that this muck-up day goes smoother than the last. Tobias, the German language assistant, watches on. Things can only get better.
Inventively theatrical and irreverently funny, Education, Education, Education is The Wardrobe Ensemble's love letter to the schools of the 1990s and asks big questions about a country in special measures, exploring what we are taught and why, and where responsibility lies.”

Wouldn’t it be great if life came with an instruction manual? Some guiding principles. Like the Monopoly rulebook. Sometimes you need a wikihow on living life right.
‘I don't wanna play anymore’ tries to answer the questions we ask ourselves as we get older.
What should I be doing, who should I be doing it with and when should it all be done by????
Life is a game, but how do we play it? In a world where there are winners and losers, playing fair doesn’t always see you right. A roll of a dice can change everything.

A **** comedy show about being British -ish
Award winning Becky Fury uses her identity as a mixed race UK born person to investigate what it means to be British - ish. British-ish is a fast paced hour which makes a serious and seriously silly effort to redefine Britishness, British historical figures and what makes Britain great.
Colonialism is also discussed as Becky’s family is Anglo Indian, a mixed race culture bred by the British to run the Raj. The British-ish of the title.
Many of the shows funniest moments come from Becky’s honest insight and story telling skills; discussing her experiences dealing with casual and not so casual rascism. This serious subject is dealt with Becky’s trademark mischievous humour and is a perceptive hot take on what is often a decisive and very current social issue.
If you can feel proud, for example, that the three lions were originally from Africa and have been clearly made to feel so at home here, then this is the show for you.

Boys We Knew follows three best friends, Liam, CJ and Jasper, who spend their time between their B-Tech music college and house parties.
The boys originally seem to maintain a toxic dynamic in their misogynistic attitudes and dispassion for progress. There is a breaking in the group dynamic as Liam attempts to free himself from a future consumed by drugs and repressive behaviour, finding hope in a friendship with a bright girl named Angelica.
However, Liam finds difficulty in distancing from the cultural norms of the white, working class.

Opposites don’t always attract!
When a rather serious and logically minded ‘Pye’ is thrown into confinement with a bouncy, bubbly and slightly unhinged ‘Happy’, the pair have little choice but to get to know each other better.
Join these two very different characters as they are forced to confront, not only each other, but perhaps even themselves.
Happy as Pye is abstract in style and invites the viewer to decide what is real and what is not.
This play delves into the minds of two surreal characters that hold very different outlooks on life. Or do they? These characters could just as easily be as one and only by hashing it out can they truly explore what it means, or doesn't mean, to be 'happy'!
Friday 25th July & Saturday 26th July 7pm
Theatre show exploring the human price of innovation and hubris. It follows the story of Elliott Walton, a young researcher working on an AI project with her colleague Dr Michael Blomquist.
The pair are working on a technology that would theoretically upload somebody’s entire mind into an AI programme, with Elliott as the test subject. Suddenly, Elliott dies under mysterious circumstances, and Michael is accused of her murder - by the programme itself.
A dramatic court case ensues that uncovers misconduct, conflict and obsession, with both sides trying to shift the blame.
Is the programme lying? Or is Michael?

Nick Bold’s George! is a spirited performance that is as close to what it was like to be at an actual George Harrison concert as you could ever imagine.
Manchester’s Nick Bold made his first mark on the music business in the 1980s as founding member, lead guitarist and principal songwriter for the British rock band Virginia Wolf.
The two hour plus performance is a tour de force that brings audiences to their feet with joy as Bold embodies the essence of Harrison with his virtuoso guitar playing and spot-on vocals. It’s all there, George’s biggest Beatles hits and all of his wonderful post-breakup solo material.
